Organizations everywhere now rely on high-speed networks and mobile computing to more easily share and access information. Unfortunately, this wide open world also presents new challenges for information security—how to prevent the loss of the most sensitive data.

Today just about anybody can share, access and disseminate information in unlimited volume, and organizations have come to depend on that fact. It is enormously empowering. But it means that now, securing the perimeter is no longer enough.

Breaches of personal data have reached epidemic proportions. What’s more, the loss of intellectual property poses a real threat to every business. Security solutions, designed to protect the network or limit information access, simply do not address the fundamental questions of where sensitive information is stored, how it is used, and how best to prevent its loss.

DLP technology helps organizations prevent the loss of confidential data wherever it is stored or used—across endpoint, network, and storage systems.

Learning points from this session include:

  • How to define DL P concepts
  • How to develop DLP Strategy
  • How to implement DLP technologies and supporting processes
  • Current tools and technologies that are available for DLP.
